TOKYO, 31 October 2026 — Representing the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Japan, Counsellor Celio da Silva attended the diplomatic reception commemorating the 68th Anniversary of Malaysia’s Independence. The prestigious event was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel, Otemachi, Tokyo.
In his welcoming remarks, H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendy Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, expressed his sincere gratitude to the diplomatic corps and distinguished guests for their presence. Keiji Furuya, President of the Japan–Malaysia Parliamentary Friendship Association, and Mr. Miyamoto Shingo, Director-General of the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The event was also attended by members of the diplomatic community, Japanese private sector leaders, and the Malaysian diaspora in Japan.
