Tokyo, 13 August 2026 — Counsellor Célio Moniz received Japanese university students who participated in the JENESYS Programme and took part in an exchange programme in Timor-Leste. During the meeting, the students shared their experiences, learning outcomes, and reflections from their time in Timor-Leste.

The students also delivered a presentation on the activities they undertook, including their experiences and learning gained through interactions and activities with the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Japan.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for the students to reflect on their experience in Timor-Leste while strengthening people-to-people connections and mutual understanding between Timor-Leste and Japan.
The students are also expected to share their experiences with other Japanese students and members of the wider community, contributing to greater awareness and understanding of Timor-Leste in Japan.
