Tokyo, 19 August 2026 — The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Japan has once again facilitated the placement of skilled workers from Timor-Leste. The Labor Attaché of the Embassy of Timor-Leste, Mr. João, personally welcomed the arrival of two Timorese technical trainees at Narita International Airport, Tokyo.

Upon arrival in Japan, the two trainees are scheduled to travel immediately to Ibaraki Prefecture. There, they will undergo an orientation period consisting of cultural and Japanese language training. This training program aims to prepare the participants for their working environment and daily life before they officially begin their technical internships.
Agricultural Internship Through the TIT Program
The two trainees will participate in the Technical Intern Training (TIT) Program, focusing on the agricultural sector. The duration of this internship program will last for three years.
This program serves as a tangible step toward enhancing the competencies of the Timorese workforce, with the hope that the trainees will absorb relevant technical skills to support the development of the agricultural sector back home after their internship concludes. The Embassy of Timor-Leste remains committed to ensuring that trainees receive the necessary support throughout their program in Japan.

東京、2026年8月19日 — 在日東ティモール民主共和国大使館は、今回も東ティモールからの技能労働者の派遣を支援しました。在日東ティモール大使館の労働担当官（Labor Attaché）であるジョアン氏が、成田国際空港にて東ティモール人技能実習生2名の到着を直接出迎えました。

日本到着後、2名の実習生はただちに茨城県へ向かう予定となっています。現地では、文化理解および日本語研修を中心としたオリエンテーション期間を経ることになります。この研修プログラムは、参加者が技能実習を正式に開始する前に、職場環境および日常生活に適応できるよう支援することを目的としています。
TITプログラムを通じた農業分野での実習
2名の実習生は、農業分野に特化した技能実習制度（Technical Intern Training / TIT Program）に参加します。この実習プログラムの期間は3年間となっています。
本プログラムは、東ティモールの労働力の技能向上に向けた具体的な一歩であり、実習修了後に帰国した際、習得した技術が農業分野の発展に貢献することが期待されています。在日東ティモール大使館は、実習生が日本でのプログラム全体を通じて必要なサポートを受けられるよう、引き続き尽力してまいります。
