Tokyo, 26 August 2026 — Her Excellency Maria Terezinha Viegas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Japan, together with Counsellor Célio Moniz and Third Secretary Egídio, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Ahmed Mahloof, Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives, accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Ahmed Adil and Second Secretary Aminath Raziyya.
The courtesy call provided an opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and the strengthening of bilateral ties between Timor-Leste and the Maldives.
The two sides also discussed mutual cooperation for future endeavours.
The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the friendly relations shared between the two nations, and concluded with both sides expressing their mutual appreciation for the opportunity to engage in this exchange.
2026年8月26日、東京 — ティモール・レステ民主共和国駐日特命全権大使マリア・テレジーニャ・ヴィエガス閣下は、セリオ・モニス参事官及びエジディオ三等書記官とともに、モルディブ共和国のアハメド・マフルーフ大使閣下による表敬訪問を受けた。同大使には、アハメド・アディル副大使及びアミナト・ラジーヤ二等書記官が同行した。
今回の表敬訪問は、双方が共通の関心事項について意見を交換するとともに、ティモール・レステとモルディブの二国間関係を強化する機会となった。
双方はまた、将来の取り組みに向けた相互協力についても協議した。
会談は終始、両国の友好関係を反映した温かく和やかな雰囲気の中で行われ、双方はこのような意見交換の機会が持たれたことへの感謝の意を表しつつ会談を締めくくった。
