Tokyo, 2 October 2025. Mr. Célio Moniz, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Tokyo, together with Mr. João Mendonça, Labour Attaché, and Ms. Faviola Henriques da Cruz, Financial Administrative Officer, received a courtesy visit from four Timorese students who have recently completed their Master’s degree studies in Japan.
The visiting students were Mr. Albino Nicolau, Mr. Laurensio Suni, Mr. Atanacio Cairo Barreto, and Mr. Flavio da Graça, graduates of Hiroshima University and Gifu University.
During the meeting, the Embassy extended its congratulations to the students on the successful completion of their academic programs and acknowledged their academic achievements. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange views and reaffirm the Embassy’s continued support for Timorese students pursuing higher education in Japan.
The Embassy of Timor-Leste in Tokyo remains committed to strengthening engagement with the Timorese student community and encouraging their contribution to national development upon completion of their studies.
