TOKYO, 2 July 2026 – H.E. Maria Terezinha Viegas, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Japan, accompanied by Counsellor Celio, bid farewell to the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry (MAPPF), H.E. Marcos da Cruz, and his delegation at the airport today following the conclusion of their official visit to Japan.
H.E. Ambassador Viegas expressed her profound appreciation for the Minister’s visit and extended her best wishes for a safe journey back home. She also seized the opportunity to reaffirm the strong ties of friendship and bilateral cooperation between Timor-Leste and Japan.
The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Tokyo highly values the positive outcomes achieved during this visit and looks forward to welcoming H.E. the Minister again in the future to further advance strategic partnerships.
