Ambassador Viegas Welcomes Malaysia’s Ambassador-Designate to Japan

Tokyo, 21 August 2026 — H.E. Maria Terezinha Viegas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Japan, welcomed H.E. Dato′ Ahmad ROZIAN Bin Abd. Ghani, Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Japan, during a courtesy call at the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Tokyo.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two Ambassadors to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening friendly relations and cooperation, including in the context of their countries’ shared membership of ASEAN.

The courtesy call also reflected the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and dialogue in fostering closer ties, mutual understanding, and cooperation among ASEAN Member States.

Ambassador Viegas extended her best wishes to H.E. Dato′ Ahmad ROZIAN Bin Abd. Ghani for a successful mission in Japan and expressed her hope for continued friendship and cooperation in the years ahead.
