TÓQUIO, 9 de dezembro de 2025 — O Secretário de Estado da Formação Profissional e Emprego (SEFOPE), Sua Excelência Rogério Araújo Mendonça, assinou oficialmente um Memorando de Cooperação (MoC) com a Associação Cooperativa Empresarial Sainokuni Takumi.
Este acordo representa um marco estratégico na implementação do Programa de Formação Técnica para Estagiários (Technical Intern Training Program – TIT) destinado aos cidadãos timorenses no Japão.

A cerimónia contou com a presença da Embaixadora de Timor-Leste no Japão, Sua Excelência Maria Terezinha da Silva Viegas, acompanhada pelo Conselheiro Célio Moniz da Silva. A delegação de alto nível da SEFOPE incluiu:
- Sr. João Correia Pereira, Diretor da Direção Nacional de Emprego no Estrangeiro.
- Sr. João Mendonça, Adido Laboral.

Strategic Training and Language Preparation
In his remarks, Secretary of State Rogério Mendonça expressed his sincere appreciation to the Sainokuni Agency for establishing this effective partnership, which aims to provide Timorese youth with vital technical and professional training opportunities.
The Vice President of the Agency, Mr. Liu Bin, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, noting that it will significantly strengthen the friendship between Timor-Leste and Japan. He emphasized that Sainokuni is uniquely equipped to provide Japanese language instruction through its own Japanese Language School, ensuring that interns possess strong communication skills before their professional placement.
Recruitment Timeline
As part of the agreed implementation plan, the Sainokuni Agency is scheduled to visit Timor-Leste in June 2026 to conduct the recruitment process for new candidates.
This agreement represents a strategic investment in the skills and capacity building of Timorese youth, generating sustainable opportunities and reinforcing international cooperation.
