TOKYO, 3 May 2026 – Mr. Joao Mendonça, the Labor Attaché of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Tokyo, represented the Embassy at the official opening ceremony of the Cambodia Festival 2026, held at Yoyogi Park.

The festival, which celebrates Cambodian culture, traditions, and the strong ties between Cambodia and Japan, provided a platform for diplomatic representatives to strengthen regional friendships within the ASEAN community and beyond.

The attendance of the Labor Attaché underscores Timor-Leste’s ongoing commitment to cultural exchange and maintaining close relations with fellow Southeast Asian nations through community-focused events in Tokyo.
