Embassy of Timor-Leste in Tokyo Attends Paraguay’s Independence Diplomatic Reception
TOKYO, May 14, 2026 – On May 14, 2026, at the prestigious *Imperial Hotel Tokyo*, Ms. Faviola Henriques da Cruz, Administrative and Financial Officer of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Japan, represented the diplomatic mission at a distinguished official reception.
The solemn event was organized to mark two historical milestones of great significance for the Republic of Paraguay:
- The 215th Anniversary of Paraguay’s National Independence.
- The 90th Anniversary of Japanese Immigration to Paraguay.
The presence of our representation at this double celebration reflects the continuous bonds of diplomatic friendship and mutual respect shared between the Embassy of Timor-Leste, the Republic of Paraguay, and the host nation, Japan. Furthermore, the gathering provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relations within the Tokyo-based diplomatic community and celebrate the rich shared history between Japan and South America.
