Tokyo, 19 December —Her Excellency Maria Terezinha da Silva Viegas, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Japan, accompanied by Mr. Celio Moniz, Counsellor, and Mrs. Misako Nakamura, Senior Assistant, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kenji Hasegawa, President of Kansei Company, in Tokyo.
This meeting marked the first official engagement between the Ambassador and the President of Kansei Company since H.E. Ambassador Viegas assumed her duties in Japan in October. The occasion also provided an opportunity to convey the appreciation of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste for the support and training programmes extended by Kansei Company to Timor-Leste.
The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere and concluded to the mutual satisfaction of both parties, reaffirming the commitment to continued cooperation in areas of shared interest.
