TOKYO, April 9, 2026 – Counselor of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Tokyo, Celio Moniz, participated in a strategic diplomatic meeting held under the theme
“Navigating Our Future Together.”
Hosted by the Embassy of the Philippines in Tokyo, the forum brought together key representatives to discuss the strengthening of ties between ASEAN Member States and Japan.
The meeting highlighted the critical importance of continued cooperation, particularly in response to the evolving policies affecting foreign residents in Japan. Given the significant number of ASEAN nationals currently residing in the country, the discussions focused on ensuring that policy developments align with the mutual interests of all stakeholders.
