Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Tokyo
Tokyo, 1 September 2026 — H.E. Maria Terezinha da Silva Viegas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Japan, attended a commemorative event marking the 40th anniversary of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, held at the Heian Room of The Okura Tokyo.
The event was attended by H.E. Sanae Takaichi, Prime Minister of Japan; H.I.H. Princess Takamado; Mr. Amit Roy, Chair of the Sasakawa Africa Association; members of the diplomatic corps; senior government officials; representatives of non-governmental organizations; and other distinguished guests.
On the occasion, Ambassador Viegas had the opportunity to introduce herself and exchange greetings with Mr. Yohei Sasakawa and H.I.H. Princess Takamado.
The commemorative event concluded with a dinner reception, which provided an opportunity for distinguished guests and members of the diplomatic community to exchange views and further strengthen ties.
東京、2026年9月1日 — 在日本国東ティモール民主共和国特命全権大使マリア・テレジーニャ・ダ・シルヴァ・ヴィエガス閣下は、ホテルオークラ東京「平安の間」において開催された笹川平和財団創立40周年記念式典に出席した。
式典には、高市早苗内閣総理大臣閣下、高円宮妃殿下、笹川アフリカ協会(Sasakawa Africa Association)会長のアミット・ロイ氏をはじめ、外交団関係者、政府高官、非政府組織(NGO)関係者、その他多数の来賓が出席した。
この機会に、ヴィエガス大使は笹川陽平氏および高円宮妃殿下に自己紹介を行うとともに、ご挨拶を交わした。
記念式典はディナーレセプションをもって締めくくられ、来賓および外交団関係者が意見を交換し、相互の関係を一層深める貴重な機会となった。
