The Embassy underscored that the festival represents not only a celebration of national identity, but also an essential bridge for fostering people-to-people exchange and deepening mutual understanding and friendship between Timor-Leste and Japan.

ティモール・フェスタは、日本の市民をはじめ日本に滞在する国際社会へ向けて、東ティモールの豊かな文化遺産、歩んできた歴史、そして国家の魅力を広く発信する極めて重要な広報外交の舞台です。会談を通じて、東ティモールの伝統芸術、生活文化、そして観光資源の魅力を伝える充実したプログラムの構成について有意義な意見交換が行われました。
大使館側は、本フェスタが東ティモールの文化を発信する場にとどまらず、両国間の草の根レベルでの市民交流を促進し、日本と東ティモールの揺るぎない友好関係と相互理解をさらに深める架け橋となる重要性を強調しました。
