FUJISAN Chidama Festa WA Invites Ambassador Viegas to the 100 Million People’s Rice Cultivation Festival

TOKYO, 23 April 2026 – The Embassy of Timor-Leste in Japan received a courtesy call from Ms. Yamaginuma Rika, Head of the International Department of FUJISAN Chidama Festa WA, along with her staff. The purpose of the visit was to personally invite H.E. Ambassador Maria Terezinha Viegas to the “100 Million People’s Hitohachi Movement Rice Cultivation Festival,” which will take place on 24 May 2026 in Yamanashi Prefecture.

The meeting provided a wonderful opportunity for the Embassy to witness a demonstration of this meaningful tradition.
