H.E. Ambassador Viegas, accompanied by João Mendonça as Labor Attaché, paid an official visit to the Fishery Agency of Japan and met with the Director-General, Mr. Hitoshi Fujita, along with his delegation.
The meeting formed part of the efforts of the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Tokyo to strengthen communication and cooperation with various institutions in Japan, particularly regarding the protection and welfare of Timorese workers currently employed in Japan.
Ambassador Viegas reaffirmed that the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Tokyo remains open to dialogue in addressing any issues that may arise concerning Timorese workers in Japan.
The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Tokyo continues to uphold its commitment to providing the best services and protection for the Timorese community in Japan.
