Tokyo, May 25, 2026 — The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Japan received a courtesy call from Ms. Agarie Mebuki, Manager of AHHA Education, who was accompanied by a delegation of Timorese teachers. The visitors were warmly received by Her Excellency Ambassador Maria Terezinha Viegas and Counselor Célio Moniz.

AHHA Education is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to youth education, personal development, and English-language training. The institution has a long-standing track record of active collaboration with Timor-Leste, particularly in facilitating impactful student and cultural exchange programs between Japan and Timor-Leste.

During the meeting, both parties discussed ongoing initiatives and future opportunities to empower Timorese youth. This partnership serves as another vital bridge in supporting students to enhance their skills and foster independence, while further strengthening the bilateral relations and enduring friendship between Japan and Timor-Leste.
