TOKYO, 9 May 2026 – Counselor Mr. Celio Moniz, accompanied by Ms. Nakamura, Senior Assistant of the Embassy, warmly welcomed H.E. Mrs. Dulce de Jesus, Minister of Education of Timor-Leste, upon her arrival at Narita International Airport.

The Minister’s official visit to Japan is focused on a strategic educational mission. The primary objectives include observing Japan’s fundamental education system, exchanging views on educational policies between Timor-Leste and Japan, and gaining valuable leadership insights.

Through interactive discussions and site visits, the mission aims to further strengthen educational cooperation and explore best practices that could enhance the development of the education sector in Timor-Leste.
