Hiroshima, 11 May 2026 – H.E. Minister Dulce de Jesus Soares and delegation, together with the Counsellor of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Tokyo, Mr. Célio Moniz, accompanied by Ms. Hitomi Sato, Mr. Nunes José Julião, and Professor Tatsuya Kusakabe, Ph.D., of the Center for the Study of International Cooperation in Education (CICE), Hiroshima University, visited a school in Hiroshima.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the teaching staff and the Principal, Mr. Kozako Kenshi. During the visit, Minister Dulce and the delegation observed the school’s teaching methodologies and the daily activities of students.
During the visit, Minister Dulce was given the opportunity to deliver a presentation introducing Timor-Leste, including its history, culture, and traditional cuisine.
The visit concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of commemorative gifts, including Timor-Leste coffee and traditional Tais woven cloths, to the Principal and teachers as symbols of friendship and cultural exchange.
